Introduction of the course | This course intends to connect a series of well-known cinemas with their relevant global conflict. During this class, significant historical backgrounds related to relevant scenarios will be discussed and unfolded. Not only from the main context of masterpieces but also from the trivia within, any relevant conflict can be addressed. | ||
Introduction of Professor | Recently, Dr. Myoungjun Hwang has worked as a lecturer mainly at Smith College (Sahmyook University), College of Seokdang Honors (Donga University), Korea Military Academy and Youngsan University giving lectures in several law classes and adjacent field classes. He graduated and acquired Ph.D. in Law at Seoul National University in August 2017. His dissertation title is ‘Possibility to Deny Sovereign Immunity with respect to Serious Breach of International Law.’ He is interested in the alternative way to overcome the traditional ‘Law of Nations’ paradigm including the state immunity on behalf of each individual. Before the doctoral acquisition, he worked as a lecturer and then full-time instructor at the Korean Naval Academy (2005 – 2008) teaching public international law to future naval officers. He also had lecture career at other universities, such as the Korea National Open University(2011-2019), University of Incheon(2012), and Ajou University(2018). From 2013 to 2014, he stayed at the Northwestern University Law School as a visiting scholar for the sake of deepening his research. In 2019, he worked as the publication director of ‘Korea International Law Review’.
