Cultural Program

Students will be able to enjoy variety of extracurricular activities if student does not take optional afternoon program.

1 Session

Cultural Program

1. Gyeongbokgung Palace (Hanbok Experience) - The place where we can experience the Korean traditional cloth Hanbok and to see the old palaces
2. Ihwa Mural Village – A village where we can see drawings on the wall of the houses throughout the village.
3. Ice Skate – The sports that we can enjoy on winter, and winter leisure activities loved by people of all ages.
4. Everland – The biggest amusement park in Korea. Where students can enjoy lots of fun rides.

Optional Cultural Program

1. K-food experience – Experience the culture of delivery food in Korea.
2. COEX Aquarium – One of the largest aquarium in Korea. The aquarium houses more than 180 exhibition tanks and 90 breeding tanks, holding a total of 3,000 tons of water.
3. Nanta performance - A Non-verbal performance integrating Korean traditional Samulnori rhythm with comic and drama in the kitchen! Audiences of all ages and nationalities can enjoy!
4. Koren National Museum - It is the largest museum in Korea and houses precious Korean cultural assets that tell the story of Korea’s fascinating history, from ancient times to the modern era.

Cultural program

1. SM TOWN and COEX - COEX has excellent and convenient facilities, exhibitionhalls, per formance halls, and o ce spaces. After being designated as a Gangnam MICE Special Tourist Zone in 2014 and opening the SM TOWN in 2015, COEX is fast becoming a global platform for culture and business.
2. DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) - Dongdaemun Design Plaza serves as a hub for exhibitions, fashion shows, conferences, and other domestic and international events. The building features curved cladding panels and a mega-sized roof that were made possible by a three-dimensional molding process.
3. Ice Skate – The sports that we can enjoy on winter, and winter leisure activities loved by people of all ages.
4. Lotte World – The biggest amusement park in Korea. Where students can enjoy lots of fun rides.

Optional Cultural Program

1. K-food experience – Experience the culture of delivery food in Korea.
2. E-land Pang Pang Cruise - Pang Show is a hands-on variety performance that invites the audience to participate in the baking of bread (read as bbang in Korean). The show originates from the popular Korean TV drama “King of Baking, Kim Tak-gu” (2010), which has been televised across twelve countries in Asia.
3. Jamsil Baseball Stadium - Jamsil Baseball Stadium is part of the Jamsil Sports Complex, Korea's largest integrated sports center.
4. Broadcasting Station - is one of the leading South Korean television and radio network companies. students can see and experience how show and k-dramas are made.

  • SU-buddy Program

    The program is designed to help international students to adapt and adjust to the new environment. They will be able to make new friends and participate in various activities.

  • Day Trip

    Students will be able to enjoy variety of extracurricular activities such as Nanta performances, Korean traditional village, visiting Korean Palaces on Fridays

  • Cultural Experience

    Students will be provided opportunities to experience the Korean culture and art such as Tae Kwon-do, Cooking, and more.

  • Special Lectures

    Students will be able to listen to invited lectures or special lectures held by celebrities.

  • Sahmyook Alumni Benefit

    Students who have completed 2 or more courses in the International Summer School program will be eligible to become Sahmyook University alumni.
